The best and most exciting part of today’s lesson is that fact that we learn how to put our fingers on the string through the fingerboard and really start developing the left hand. This happens after the 10 minute mark, if there is one place to really practice this is it!
The opening exercises left hand ants and the plastic gobbler are mainly to help your hand develop the strength necessary to play the cello. You’d be surprised at how much work it is for your hand and arm muscles. These exercises will help you do this.
As well, we will find the notes on ALL of the strings Yippee! Get your tuner out and make sure your cello is in tune for this section. The better you tune your instrument the better placed the dots will be. Be very accurate, settle only for a solid green!
